Want to see me be completely uncomfortable. Well, you're looking at it! I know I look happy. I was, but I was also screaming on the inside. As a photographer, I feel like I know exactly what to do to make my clients look and feel their very best, but the moment the table (or camera) gets turned on me, I lose my mind and have no idea what to do with myself...or my hands! I also instantly think, "I look terrible. I'll have photos taken when I straighten my hair and no longer have braces." I have to thank my sweet friend @shelbynickell for grabbing my camera after her newborn/family session and forcing me to be in front of it (uncomfortable laughter and all). Simply because she liked my outfit and said I looked too good to not have my photo taken that day! I, of course said "No. Today is about your family and baby", but she didn't take "no" for an answer and as a result, all of you get to see my face. I've been working on this little thing called self confidence and I think it's growing, slowly, each day. 4 years of marriage! This day truly feels like it just happened, yet somehow we’re already on year number four. I am just as giddy about Seth as the day we started dating; and I love him more than I did on our wedding day! Yes, we have our tough days, what couple doesn’t? Today I watched a youtube live hosted by @emma_natter about how instagram has evolved and the perfect pretty images are not what gets people as excited anymore. She really struck a cord with me about sharing more of myself and not letting every image posted be perfectly photographed and curated to create a stunning feed. People are over it. I'm over it! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I created a personal account a few years ago thinking that's where I needed to share my life, yet I never shared anything because keeping track of a few accounts is more work than I need on top of my usual daily grind, but guess what? It's all coming back here! I'll be updating my website with all the pretty work and still sharing clients, but I'm REALLY going to work hard at mixing in real life into my feed, so people can actually know me!
