I am so thrilled with the amazing couples I have so far this year. Zack and Sarah are definitely one of them! They were so much fun to work with, and so natural and sweet with one another. We had a few good laughs. Sarah was more than everyone else because she was slightly nervous in front of the camera, but she was a pro by the end of the session.

Zack and Sarah will be getting married in September, at the Fulford Barn, and I CAN’T WAIT! It’s the perfect place for this gorgeous couple.

Shelbie Clark | Bridals

Yesterday, Shelbie and Blake said “I do”. The weather was great, to details were beautiful and the day was wonderful. I cannot wait to share the wedding; but for now I’ll share Shelbie’s bridal photos.

We had a wonderful time on the day of Shelbie’s bridals. She looked beautiful and was so natural while posing. I would ask her to do something and she would do it ten times better. I love Shelbie because she is so comfortable in her skin, and she has such a contagious smile. I can’t believe that I did her senior photos when I started my business, and now she’s married!

Shelbie, you’re beautiful in every way, and I’m so thankful to have been a part of this special time in your life!

Tabitha and Kyle are such a wonderful couple. I had a great time getting to know them on their engagement shoot. To be honest, their relationship reminds me of my own. Kyle knows how to push Tabitha’s buttons, like most men do, and he finds it so funny; and although Tabitha may get annoyed or roll her eyes, she still looks at him with so much love, and you can tell she can’t wait to be his wife! I felt so comfortable with this amazing couple and can feel a friendship forming.

These two will be getting married at The Legacy, in August, and I can’t wait to be a small part of their day!

I almost got rid of the photo on the right, but even though it’s not perfectly in focus, it’s perfect!

Johnathan | One year

This little boy is my favorite one-year-old. I love him to pieces and can’t say enough about how stinking cute he is! I had a good time, doing a quick little session of him for his one year photos. He was a little grumpy when I got to my parent’s house, but as soon as he saw his aunt, Becca, he had a whole different personality. I hope you enjoy my sweet little nephew, just as much as I do!

Calling all Seniors!!!

Okay, 2012 seniors. If you have not had your senior photos done yet, then I have a special for you! In honor of my upcoming birthday, and the fact that I waited until the month I was graduating to get senior photos done, I want to offer something special for anyone who still has not taken their photos.

Now, on to my 2013 seniors. I am starting a, Becca Lea Photography, senior ambassador program. I will be looking for five, 2013 seniors to be models for BLP. What does this mean? The five chosen seniors will receive a free senior photo shoot, with hair an makeup included, and will work as ambassadors for BLP and earn their way to free prints and products. If you or someone you know is interested, or you know someone who will be a great senior ambassador, contact me, with “Senior Ambassador” as the subject, and I will email you a “Senior Ambassador Application.”

Lubbock Bridal Show

So, I am way behind on blogging this, but I just wanted to share about my first year doing the Bridal Show.

Let me just say. If you decide to do any type of business showcase, BE PREPARED! My best friend, and wonderful hairstylist, Savannah, and I decided to do the bridal show together, to really get our businesses out there. We slightly procrastinated on getting our booth and ideas ready, but in the end we pulled it off!

I was lucky to have my awesome boyfriend, Seth, in my booth helping me out. He claimed his good looks would help attract brides to my booth. Ha ha, he’s pretty full of himself. Seth also helped build the booths with Savannah’s cousin, Taylor. Without these guys, we would not have got anything done.

I definitely loved spending the day at the show, and getting to meet so many wonderful brides. I felt like I talked for days, and at one point, lost my train of thought completely, and just stood there. Kind of embarrassing, but that’s okay. I’m for sure going to do the Bridal Show again next year, and I plan on doing so many things differently. I’m so thankful that I was able to experience something new in my business, and grow from it.

This post is kind of going nowhere, so I’ll just show you mine and Savannah’s booths.

Josiah & Brandi | Proposal Story

I was so excited to shoot Josiah and Brandi’s proposal. Josiah created my website, and at the end of the process he mentioned that he had just purchased an engagement ring for his girlfriend, Brandi. I was so thrilled for him, and offered to shoot the proposal. As a girl waiting on a ring myself, I think a hidden photographer is a must!

Josiah had a really sweet proposal planned for Brandi. He had photos of each important moment in their relationship. A photo of where they had their first date, where they first kissed, and where they first said “I love you.” He also had a letter that he wrote while on a mission trip, before he met Brandi, about the woman he would marry. He said she fits the letter perfectly.

I loved every minute of shooting this proposal, and hope to shoot more in the future!

Josiah said that he joked about just giving Brandi a ring pop, and he did. I helped him set up before hand, and he was so excited about the ring pop. Too cute!

Then he pulled out the real ring!

Gentry & Nichole Griffith | Lubbock Wedding Photographer

Gentry and Nichole are so great. I loved shooting their engagement photos, and I loved shooting their wedding even more. They had a small wedding at The Lubbock Dream Center, and it was beautiful. Nichole made a gorgeous bride, and it was so evident that Gentry was proud to be her groom. I’m so thankful to have shot their wedding!

I love this next photo! Nichole has made it to the end of the aisle, to her soon to be husband, and she’s taking that “Oh my gosh, I’m getting married!” breath.

I also love this photo as well. Gentry’s face says everything.

Nichole wrote vows for, her new son, Kaden. It was such a sweet and tender moment between them.

Just married, and so happy!

Austen & Shannon Hubbard | Lubbock Wedding Photographer

I am so excited to post this wedding. Shannon emailed me in October letting me know that she was engaged and wanted me to shoot her wedding. I was thrilled! I actually shot Shannon’s sister’s wedding in June, and loved the idea of capturing both of these lovely lady’s special days.

Shannon and Austen were married, on a gorgeous day in December, at The Legacy, downtown. I had been following Shannon’s pinterest page on the weeks leading up to her wedding, and became so excited. She had a simple, and elegant vision of her vintage wedding, and it came together so well. She even made her own bouquets!

I’m so honored to have had the chance to get to know Shannon and Austen, and to see their family again.
